I
can tell you that I am ever so personally grateful to Sir B for being both
Glory’s sire and Rissi’s grandpa... You should be so proud of the tremendous
contribution he made to the breed in many countries – not just Britain.

There
is never a moment that I haven’t appreciated all of the wonderful dogs
behind our Willem and our Rasi & Partout (both out of B.G., Willem’s
littermate). There is a definite sweetness and character that must be influenced
by Bacchus. Kay so frequently spoke of him and of you. We are thinking
of you. He truly was a great dog and he will continue to “shine” through
his offspring.

You
did all you could Marcelle and gave him a wonderful life – not every dog
owner can say that – in return he gave you his all and in the end you did
the last loving act you had to do – you let him go with the love and dignity
with which he lived his life.

Although
I did not meet him personally, I know he was mostly responsible for the
wonderfully funny and loving nature of his son Aust & NZ Ch Aisance
Lord Odin (AI) so its like I knew him just a little bit! I thank Bachuss
for him, and you for letting little parts of Bacchus live among us over
here.

I
am so sorry to hear about Bacchus’ passing. He was such a wonderful dog.
He is the reason I got into the Sam line. I have no complaints! I only
wish I had more of it.

Bacchus
was a very special dog with a temperament that nobody could fault – the
epitome of a Belgian that very few other dogs could emulate. As well as
this, he had beauty and the ability to pass on his qualities to others.

We
were at the Belgian show in Kirkfieldbank in Lanark and Alex called me
to come and see this beautiful grey dog... he would have been young at
that time and the beautiful coat really caught Alex’s eye, and you know
the rest – he had to have a grey dog.

him and he will be cherished forever.

I
co-own a grandson of Bacchus with Alleyne Dickens, Bonheur Nom de Plume
(Jairouk de la Fureur du Crepuscle x Belamba Lynet). “Reece” owes his outstanding
temperment to the dogs (and their breeders) before him and I am eternally
grateful to both you and Bacchus.

In
the US, many people have seen Bacchus without realizing it, since his beautiful
head is often found on notelets, bookmarks and refrigerator magnets! Thinking
of “Sir Bacchus” with sadness and yet with joy in the wonderful things
he did for our breed.

It
doesn’t seem like 15 years ago that your wrote about getting him. I remember
it well because I thought Bacchus was such a great name. He did have

What
a lovely, sweet boy, and I feel honored that I had a chance to sit for

he was still a wonderful dog and I remember our conversation that night

We
are very proud to have him in our pedigree. We often speak of him... Glory’s
daughter, StarBright Glory De La Lune(Tessa) out of our Taylor (Tobara

qualities... Bacchus will live on thru his children
and
grandchildren.

My
young Terv bitch is a grand-daughter of Sharon Redmer’s Glory, so a great

I
have seen a video tape of Bacchus that Saber’s owner had sent to Jan George.
Bacchus was so beautiful and what a great temperament, on the video tape
he was playing in the backyard with several young dogs and a puppy. He
was not even phased by that puppies playful antics. I have told many friends
about this beautiful gray Terv with the wonderful personality many times.
My puppy also has a wonderful personality and if she is half the dog that
her GrGr Grandfather was I could never ask for more.
